VP-S: Purpose-Built for Seed Packets & Plant Stakes

If you’re an agricultural company printing seed packets, plant stakes, or tags in-house, the TNR VP-S is built specifically for you. Inspired by the Accufast P4 and refined for small agricultural media, it delivers clean, consistent print quality for both branding and variable data—barcodes, dates, lot codes, and variety names included. 

Backed by 50+ years of servicing equipment in the field, we designed this system to be both user friendly for operators and service friendly for maintenance. Many of the design details come directly from real-world experience and long-term feedback from customers in agriculture and packaging. 

Open ink system – not locked into chipped cartridges

From day one, it was important to us not to lock customers into chipped or “managed care” ink. We believe restricting you to proprietary cartridges is a disservice—especially when you’re managing tight margins and high volumes.

Flexible print area for real seed & stake jobs

• Standard 2" total print height in two independently adjustable 1" print banks – perfect for different packet sizes, stake heights, and layouts

The VP-S uses Xijet ink technology and accepts any HP45-style ink cartridge, so you can run:

• OEM or remanufactured cartridges
• Water-based or solvent-based inks
• Standard colors and custom colors matched to your brand
   

Most of the time, it’s the same ink used in chipped systems, just in a far more economical cartridge. That means a significant reduction in ongoing ink costs while dramatically expanding your ink choices. If your workflow truly requires it, a chipped-ink option can be supported—but it’s never mandatory.

Designed around your operation

The VP-S is priced under $13,000 and offers speeds up to 500 feet per minute (100 ips), making it an excellent fit for low- to medium-volume, single-pass agricultural printing. 

Some important features worth mentioning are:

• 100 ips. standard, which is approximately 36,000 #10's per hour.
• 600x600 Maximum Dpi.
• Material thickness: up to half inch, down to 1 sheet.
• Minimum piece length: 2.25"
• Minimum piece width: 1"
• We use a true vacuum base, not just computer fans. This eliminates the need for hold down wheels/pinch rollers which can impede print quality and quickly become the largest consumable behind the ink itself.
