Using our 50+ years servicing equipment in the field, we have designed our system to be both user friendly and service friendly. There are many design considerations that we have implemented from both our experience and the feedback from our many customers over the years, as well as in collaboration with Ken St. John the now retired owner of AccuFast.
The original concept of this printer was to replace the hole in the market left by the sudden departure of the P4, and its larger counter part the P8. The VP was designed to nestle into the gap between the two, allowing for full production quality with a tabletop foot print. It was very important to us to avoid the use of chipped ink/managed care ink. We strongly believe that the lack of option to use non-proprietary ink to be a disservice to our customers. This is how ever an option if that is something that you do prefer.
Pictured is our VP 3.0, this comes standard with 6 ink stalls, in two banks of 3 allowing for 3" of print area. This system can accommodate a configuration up to 12 ink stalls, in 4 banks of 3. This would be considered a VP 6.0 as it would have a print area of 3". This system comes standard with Xijet ink technology and accommodates any HP45 style ink cartridge. The choice not to go with a chipped ink allows for a massive variety of ink options, including but not limited to OEM, Remanufactured inks, water based inks, solvent based inks, many standard colors, and custom colors. In addition to increasing your options, it also keeps your costs down at a significant savings over the chipped option. Most times, this is even the exact same ink but in a much more economical cartridge.
Some important features worth mentioning are;
Our base comes with both a 3 stage vacuum chamber, as well as adjustable fan control. Using the 3 stage adjustment you can have vacuum enabled only for the sections that are in use, this allows for the vacuum fan to be adjusted significantly lower resulting in a much quieter and more efficient transport system.

Thin, light-weight glassine stock being printed with solvent based ink. 600x300 Dpi with many other resolutions an option. Normally very difficult to control due to their light-weight and slick texture. Solvent ink is especially useful here as it allows for it to print without the need for an external dryer.
